Julia Haart is a self-made businesswoman, designer, bestselling author and most recently, the star of the Netflix show My Unorthodox Life. She was raised in an Ultra-Orthodox Jewish community and at age 42 she fled, changed her name and without any formal education or background in fashion launched her career as a designer with her namesake shoe collection.

Within a week of her escape, Julia founded a shoe brand, and within nine months, she was at Paris Fashion Week. Just a few years later, she was named creative director of La Perla, and then became co-owner and CEO of Elite World Group, the global leader in fashion talent management. Julia most recently launched her shapewear business,+Body by Julia Harrt which is a vibrant and technically-advanced shapewear brand designed to be seen.

In our episode, Julia walks through her eight year journey leaving the Ultra-Orthodox community and shares what it was like to grow up in a environment where your “biology was your destiny” and women were treated like second class citizens.

Julia reflects on her journey from starting a shoe brand with no background or expertise in fashion to then running a business that was valued at over a billion dollars. Julia also honestly opens up about the biggest learnings and mistakes she had both personally and professionally. We talk about how she completely rewired her thoughts from growing up where women weren’t allowed to have opinions or work and the exact steps she did to get over her own limiting beliefs & overcome imposter syndrome. We know this episode is going to leave you inspired to find your freedom, your purpose and your voice.
